We are pleased to introduce our instructor, Brian Zwit. Over 40 years ago, Brian discovered that photography provided a powerful means for expressing his vision of the world. Over the years, his love of the outdoors and photography, and an aptitude for computer technology, have morphed into a passion (some would say obsession) for capturing the elegance and majesty of the unique landscapes and flora of the United States. In addition to landscape photography, Brian is always experimenting with other genres of photography such as architectural, travel, dog, and city and street life images and, more recently, filmmaking.
Besides taking great photographs, Brian has demonstrated to be a skillful speaker and instructor. He has been teaching workshops, field trips, and classes, as well as speaking to camera clubs, schools, and other non-profits or for-profit entities, for over fifteen years. He has taught Lightroom to over 1,000 students. Brian is well-known for his ability to distill complex topics to their essence and explain them in simple, easy to understand ways, and is a recognized expert in digital workflow with Lightroom, Photoshop, Nik software, and other editing applications.

Note: Lightroom and Lightroom Classic are similar but have some differences. Lightroom is cloud-based with some simplified features but permits cross-device syncing. In contrast, Lightroom Classic is a desktop application and stores images locally with comprehensive organization and editing tools. Key differences include file storage, workflow customization, and the depth of organizational and editing tools available. However, knowledge of one is helpful with the other.
